Rosales, Pablo and Iván bring ‘Malaguismo’ to Alameda

The Málaga CF players visited the children at Alameda Municipal School, and later went to the local ‘peña’ along with Club adviser, Francisco Martín Aguilar and ‘Basti’ from the Foundation.

President of the local ‘Malaguista’ supporters’ club, Francisco Martínez hosted the special afternoon for Blue and Whites’ home grown player, Iván Rodríguez, born in Alameda.  The area oozes ‘Malaguismo’, as over a hundred supporters from the ‘peña’ travel to La Rosaleda every fortnight to watch the game.

Atlético Malagueño captain, Iván Rodríguez comments: “From a young age these fans support Málaga and many go to the stadium on the bus.”  He adds: “I have a lot of good memories.  I always try to do everything I can to help my town and grow the ‘Malaguismo’ feeling here.”

For his part, president of the ‘peña’, Francisco Martínez affirms: “The players come to a town with 6,000 inhabitants, and spending time with children is an excellent way to spread ‘Malaguismo’.”

One way to enhance ‘Malaguismo’ is with the first Málaga CF Camp in Alameda, taking place during Semana Blanca.  Those interested can sign up via the local Town Hall’s sports centre, or on the official website from 8th February.
