The new kit is a treasure!

Málaga CF is organising a treasure hunt in the city’s centro histórico to celebrate the launch of the official home kit for the 25/26 season. Here’s all the details about the event!

Málaga CF has prepared a very special activity that puts the Malaguistas back in the spotlight. It’s a treasure hunt similar to the one held for the 120th anniversary of football on the Costa del Sol.

This interactive event involves a series of clues related to the city that fans must solve. Each solution leads participants to different locations, where they will receive a piece to complete their Blue and White puzzle. Ten clues will help players collect the six pieces needed to finish the final puzzle. The first team to arrive at the last location with the completed puzzle will be declared the winner.

Here’s all the info!

When will it take place?
The treasure hunt will take place next Friday 20th June, from 10:00 until 12:00.

Who can participate?
Registration is open from today, Friday 13th at 17:00, until Monday 16th at 12:00. The event is limited to 40 groups, each consisting of 2 to 4 people. To sign up, participants must complete the
registration form.

IMPORTANT: At least one member of each group must be a Málaga CF season ticket holder. For organisational reasons, participation is subject to registration and subsequent confirmation by the Club (confirmation will be done by phone in the days following the registration deadline). Once confirmed, the list of participants will be published on the Club’s official channels.

Groups must have a name or nickname that does not contain any negative connotations (for example, but not limited to: violence, racism, xenophobia, or intolerance) and must not offend the decency and/or dignity of other individuals or groups, prioritising respect and Malaguista-related themes.

What does the activity involve?

The event is a treasure hunt-style scavenger hunt where participants must solve clues related to Málaga. These solutions will lead them to various locations, and at each spot, they will receive a new piece to complete their Málaga CF puzzle. There are 10 clues in total, which will help participants collect the six pieces that make up the final puzzle. Once completed, teams must go to a final location to determine the winner.

All members of each group must arrive together at each location to receive their puzzle piece; the pieces cannot be collected separately at different spots.

If a group receives a duplicate piece, they can visit the “wildcard” location to exchange it for a different piece.
This exchange is time-limited, allowing only one swap every 10 minutes. For example, if you have two duplicate pieces and reach the wildcard, you can solve a riddle and make one exchange, but you will need to wait 10 minutes before making the second swap.

How is the ranking organised?

Using the clues provided by MCF on X and Instagram, all released simultaneously on the morning of Friday 20th June, the groups will visit the various locations along the treasure hunt route. Each group will receive one puzzle piece at each location involved in the activity. The goal is to complete the puzzle with all the different pieces collected.

Once the puzzle is complete, groups must head to the final location, and their arrival order will determine the ranking, provided the puzzle is correctly completed.

Are there prizes?

The winning group will receive a special reward. They will be the first to see the official Málaga CF home kit for the 2025/26 season and will each receive the new jersey.

The second-place group will get a 40% discount voucher for the new shirt; the third-place group will receive a 30% discount; and the fourth and fifth-place groups will get a 20% discount each. All other participants will also receive a smaller prize as a memento of this special day, in addition to the unforgettable experience.

Recommendations and important information

The Club advises all participants to wear Málaga CF colours (Blue and White) and comfortable footwear. Additionally, it’s recommended to bring water, a hat, and sun protection.

Málaga CF also calls on everyone to act responsibly, urging participants to show civility and respect for the city and its surroundings.
