Málaga CF resumed training this Tuesday evening at La Rosaleda stadium. The main new addition to the return to work was the integration of a fully fit Federico Ricca.
José González’s team stepped on to the principal pitch at Martiricos around 18:15 this evening, with 23 players in training at full pace. Goalkeepers; Roberto, Prieto and the reserve team’s Kellyan, plus another 20 players including En-Nesyri as the only homegrown player. A less intense session for the starting players from the day before yesterday’s match against Villarreal, and a normal session for the substitutes and non-called-up players, prioritising exercises with the ball for over an hour and a half.
Fede Ricca was in training at a good pace and completed the entire session with the group, whilst Lestienne remained in the gym due to a contracture to the hamstring in his left leg pending evolution. Juanpi, Recio and Peñaranda underwent specific recovery work inside the stadium.
Tomorrow, Wednesday at 10:30, the Blue and Whites will return to training at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.
