Return to training at full pace

The team was back in training this morning following a day off yesterday, an intense hour and a half-long session at La Rosaleda’s Annexe.

The team stepped on to the pitch at the Annexe at 10:30. Following the usual team talk from Pellicer, and the birthday greetings for Joaquín, priority shifted to exercises with the ball in reduced spaces, mini-matches, crosses and shots on goal.

Lombán was part of normal group training today, which featured reserve team winger, Kevin Medina. Reserve team members Gonzalo, Mini, Quintana, Cristo, Julio, Benítez and the aforementioned Kevin, plus ‘juveniles’ Larrubia, Andrés and Loren were in first team training today.

In the gym this morning were Ismael (grade II sprain to left ankle), Ramón (right gluteal discomfort) and Orlando Sá (right adductor strain), although the Portuguese striker also underwent specific work on the pitch.

Calero continued with his recovery treatment (gym) whilst Chavarría will undergo surgery this afternoon in Madrid on the tear to the cruciate ligament (left knee). In addition, Hicham is in Lille (France) with permission from the Club’s Medical Services, for a medical study with a sports medicine specialist, due to the discomfort and muscular injuries he’s suffered this season.

Tomorrow, Thursday at 10:30, Málaga CF will resume training at La Rosaleda’s facilities.
