Málaga CF Femenino defeated CD Híspalis by 0-6 on matchday 26 of the Segunda División Nacional Femenina Group IV.
Dominance was shown by the Blue and Whites from the outset. So much so that it only took a minute on the clock for Pamela to open the scoring and take a 0-1 lead. The Uruguayan international hooked the ball inside the small area, rid herself of the rival defence and sank the ball into the back of the net. The game belonged to the Blue and Whites, and Contreras’ girls looked comfortable in the rival area. In 16’, Meri took possession in midfield and made a perfect play that resulted in the 0-2. Despite constant attempts to increase the lead, at half-time the scoreboard remained at 0-2.
The Málaga girls came out raring to go in the second half. After 10 minutes, Adriana netted the 0-3 from a play inside the small area, overcoming the rival keeper. The Málaga Femenino captain, having scored 43 goals this season, has been proclaimed ‘pichichi’ of Second Division Group IV. The pace of the match began to slow down somewhat, and although Málaga had control of the ball, it wasn’t until minute 73 that Sheila sentenced play with the 0-4. Contreras made some changes, giving minutes to Karina in place of Adriana. The Puerto Rican’s entrance led to the 0-5. The striker made a superb bicycle kick to send the ball to the back of the net in the 75th minute of play. María Ruiz, wearing the captain’s armband, took her team to a 0-6 lead in minute 82.
As such, Málaga CF Femenino end a practically perfect league season. 71 points to claim the top spot in the standings, with 129 goals scored and just 6 conceded.
