A midweek clash for MCF’s reserve team in Motril, with the field of play in a highly irregular condition. Equality prevailed throughout the first half, until 30 minutes in when Malagueño scored two goals; a superb left-footer from Abeledo (0-1, 31’) and a header into goal by Sergio Chica (0-2, 35’).
In the second half, Abeledo again increased his team’s lead by completing a scoring double (0-3, 58’). However, the locals weren’t about to give up and generated numerous opportunities – despite being at a numerical disadvantage from 71’ onwards – in Samu Casado’s area. Joselu, Darío and Chendo, in the final stretch of play, levelled up the scoreboard in a vibrant match for the crowd.
