Renato Santos: “There’s no time for regrets, we need to move on”

The Malaguista winger attended to the media at El Toralín following the match against SD Ponferradina: “We created opportunities yet didn’t score, whereas they had one chance and the ball went in, that was the difference”.

Accuracy makes the difference

“We played a very good first half, we had chances, but we didn’t score a goal, even though we deserved to. The match became a little more even in the second half, and in the end, they created a chance and scored. That was the difference, we created opportunities, we had chances, but the ball didn’t go in. We must keep our heads held high and focus on the next match”

With a goal, things would have been different

“They piled the pressure on a little more in the second half. They launched long balls and second plays which led to a degree of instability for us. However, we had our opportunities, and if we score the result is totally different”.

Eager to score

“I’ve had chances, yet this season I still haven’t scored. I’m working on that and I believe I’ll do it as I’m going to keep working hard”.

Carry on without regrets

“We’re on the same line. We didn’t win, but we played a good game. Now we need to think about the next match and focus on scoring the three points. It’s always better to come back with a win, but there’s no time for regrets. We need to move on”.
