Recovery session at Martiricos on Tuesday morning

The Málaga CF squad returned to training this morning at La Rosaleda. Most of the starting players yesterday against Zaragoza stayed in the gym, whilst the others trained at the Annexe.

The Blue and Whites stepped on to La Rosaleda’s Annexe pitch at 11:00. Following a technical talk by Pellicer, the starting players against Real Zaragoza carried out recovery training inside the stadium. Alongside them was ‘substitute’ and historic goal-scorer, Rubén Castro and Alberto Escassi.

Fran Villalba and Alfred N’Diaye were the only starting players who trained on the Annexe pitch this morning. With ‘starter’ Cristian in the gym, the homegrown players in first team training at full pace today were Carlos López, Arturo, Andrés Caro, Loren and Bilal.

Meanwhile, Unai Bustinza was absent from training today. The defender from the Basque Country, who sustained injury in the final stages of training on Sunday, suffered a muscular injury in the soleus of his left leg (pending evolution). Chavarría underwent specific treatment and remains outside the group dynamic.

Víctor Olmo, alongside physical trainer Toni Tapia, returned to the pitch, alternating between running and specific training. Haitam and Moussa are the other homegrown players with long-term injuries.

The team has a day off on Wednesday. Training will return on Thursday at La Rosaleda from 10:30.
