Taking the lead helped us a great deal, and I think the key was the 1-1 equaliser before half-time which was a tough pill to swallow for us. Then in the second half the rival scored the 1-2, and although we kept fighting it wasn’t to be.”

“I would like to watch it again (Valencia’s first goal), as on the pitch things happen very quickly. I don’t know if there was aggression by Feghouli towards Charles, it’s the referee or assistant’s job, or that of the linesmen. There were two clear offside goals in our last two matches, and it’s now been several weeks where we’ve been wronged for illegal goals.”
