Recio: “Reaching the 100th match provides great encouragement”
Following #MCFvVCF, Blue and Whites’ midfielder, Recio appeared in the mixed zone at La Rosaleda.
Match analysis
“The game kicked off evenly and we felt comfortable on the pitch. Taking the lead helped us a great deal, and I think the key was the 1-1 equaliser before half-time which was a tough pill to swallow for us. Then in the second half the rival scored the 1-2, and although we kept fighting it wasn’t to be.”
Referee controversy
“I would like to watch it again (Valencia’s first goal), as on the pitch things happen very quickly. I don’t know if there was aggression by Feghouli towards Charles, it’s the referee or assistant’s job, or that of the linesmen. There were two clear offside goals in our last two matches, and it’s now been several weeks where we’ve been wronged for illegal goals.”
100th match with MCF
“It’s good when the games are close together, as we’ve now got another one round the corner to try and win and claim the three points. I’m thrilled I’ve reached my 100th game, when you start playing you want to reach records like this, and it really encourages you to keep growing as a footballer.”
