Ramón, the first of the class

The Málaga CF first team returned to La Rosaleda this Wednesday 6th May. The first player to arrive at the stadium, Ramón Enríquez, spoke to MCFTV. “We can’t wait to get back”, he stated.

Back to a ‘new’ normality’ for the coaching team, doctor, assistants and Málaga Club de Fútbol players. From 9am today, all members of the team have been arriving at the spotless Martiricos stadium to undergo the relevant tests set by LaLiga (PCR test and a serological test) as well as various medical tests to verify the physical condition of the 30 players at the disposition of coach, Sergio Pellicer.

Equipment managers Miguel Zambrana and Juan Carlos Salcedo distributed the required kit to each player. The main protocol indication, when training resumes (the date is yet to be confirmed) is for the players to get dressed at home and be wearing their kit on arrival.

The first player called-up to La Rosaleda Stadium was homegrown midfielder, Ramón: “We can’t wait to get back to routine, I want to see my teammates and, above, all, play football”, he said to MCFTV. “Safety must be paramount. They’ve carried out tests, first they took blood and then saliva. We must be compliant and do what they tell us to do at home, so hopefully we won’t have any problems in that regard”, comments the young Blue and White player, who is looking forward to the return to activity: “Our passion is football and we can’t wait to get back on the pitch. The most important thing about football is the fans, and the support they give us every day. However, the priority must be everyone’s safety, and if the matches have to be played behind closed doors, then so be it”.
