Míchel’s Málaga managed to save a point against the always competitive outfit from the Basque Country. A rollercoaster of emotions that kept the crowd at La Rosaleda on the edge of their seats.

Aduriz put the visitors in front in minute 4’ of the first half. Diego Rolan, in 35’, went on to equalise before half-time. In the second half, Williams scored two goals to put the scoreboard 1-3 in Athletic’s favour. Then in the thrilling final stages, first Baysse (2-3, 81’) then Rolan immediately afterwards (3-3, 83’) scored goals to secure an electrifying draw! It was the first point of the 17/18 season for the Malaguistas.
