Ramón: “The best is yet to come and we’re going to enjoy it”

The Málaga CF midfielder spoke to the media during the MCF Foundation's blood and bone marrow donation campaign: “I have to go step by step, stay calm and work hard in training and matches.”

Regaining positive sensations

After a long, difficult time, I am now enjoying myself like a child, having a great time. I'm really looking forward to what’s coming up and enjoying it.”

Coming back stronger

“It was pretty hard as there were a couple of injuries. These are moments that psychologically are the worst you can experience, but I have grown on a personal and football level, even though I didn’'t play. Now it’s about enjoying it.”

Moments of caution

These are situations that occur in the game and the coach understands that something else was preferable. I have been injured for a long time, it was a demanding game, back and forth and quite physical. The coach thought of me and I am very grateful. That is a thing of the past and we have to move forward.”

Progressing with patience

“It’s been a long time of bad experiences. I have to go step by step, stay calm and work hard in training and matches. I wouldn't know an exact time, but every day I feel better, stronger and ready. Time will tell.”

Calm in the dressing room

The feelings in the dressing room are good, these are the moments that a footballer wants to play and we prepare for. We are calm, working well and the dressing room is also very united.”

Key moment in the season

For myself and all my teammates this is a long journey and now is the moment of truth. We're all involved. In the last 10 games of any league, those at the bottom push and it’s tight at the top. The best is yet to come and we’re going to enjoy it.”

Clear objective

My objective is very clear, which is what we all have, promotion. I have been preparing for this for a long time like my teammates. My moment and that of my team is going to come.”

A good end is essential

We know that Castellón are there and are one step ahead, to be honest. The important thing is that we reach the last five matches as close as possible to anything. Direct promotion is very difficult, but the important thing is that we get to the playoffs with great enthusiasm, physically strong and playing well, and then we will see.”
