Ramón: “My dream is to debut at La Rosaleda”

Homegrown midfielder, Ramón Enríquez spoke to MCFTV this Wednesday. “Pre-season training with the first team is a dream come true, hopefully one day I can be on the squad”, he said.

Proud

“Since I arrived here when I was 12, I have thought about getting to this point. Sincerely, it’s an honour and great satisfaction for me that all the hard work over the years has been worth it and I’ve reaped the rewards”.

Qualities

“The more versatile a player is the better, I don’t mind where I play, but I do like to receive the ball, keep up with the pace of play and not be afraid of asking for the ball and maintaining it”.

VSDA

“Víctor gives us a great deal of confidence and peace of mind, which is very important. He asks us to be ourselves, stay calm and play how we’ve always played, and if we make a mistake it’s ok, everyone gets things wrong sometimes”.

Eager

“It’s not two weeks, it’s much longer when you’re thinking that maybe this moment will arrive one day. Both myself and my teammates cannot wait for the pre-season matches to start”.

Dreams

“You always dream of moments like this. Pre-season training with the first team is a dream come true, hopefully one day I can be on the Málaga first team squad and debut at La Rosaleda”.

Beginnings in Granada

“I grew up in Órgiva, a town with around 5.000 or 6.000 inhabitants. When I started playing football at 4 or 5 years old with my sister there were no facilities, so we used to play on the sand. I have always known I like sports, particularly football, and have been playing with the ball from a very young age”.

Pranks

“Our teammates had already been told that they do this sort of thing, but it doesn’t matter, we’re still the same”.
