Match info

The 0-1 result from the first leg of the playoff gives Málaga CF a double advantage. On one hand, UD Las Palmas now need to win by at least two goals to reach the promotion final to the elite. Whereas if the tie is level after regular time and extra time, there will be no penalty shootout. In that case, Málaga would qualify thanks to their higher league position.

• In the three meetings between Málaga CF and UD Las Palmas this 2025/26 season, the Yellows haven’t been able to score against Alfonso Herrero. Málaga have won all three matches against their opponent: twice away from home by 0-1, and at La Rosaleda with a 2-0 victory.

David Larrubia scored in Las Palmas, marking his 11th goal of the season. The homegrown forward had already scored 10 goals in 39 appearances in LALIGA HYPERMOTION. He is the third-highest scorer for Málaga, behind Chupe (24) and Niño (12 in total, 11 in the league and one more in the Copa del Rey).

• At home in the league, Málaga CF have played 21 matches, recording 12 wins, seven draws, and two defeats, with 42 goals scored and 24 conceded.

• As a league away team, UD Las Palmas have played 21 matches, claiming eight wins, seven draws, and six defeats, with 24 goals scored and 26 conceded.
