Presentation of final stage of Coca-Cola Cup

La Rosaleda’s Juan Cortés press room hosts the presentation of the final stage of the XIV Coca-Cola Cup.

On behalf of Málaga CF, Club advisers; Francisco Martín Aguilar, Antonio Benítez and Abdullah Ben Barek were present, as well as member of the MCF Foundation’s Social Department, Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’.  Also appearing before the media were Sports Councillor from the Torremolinos Town Hall, César Carrasco; Pedro Valencia representing the Málaga Football Federation; and Alejandro García, Head of Communications CCIP for the South East (Coca-Cola).  Personalities from the world of football were also in attendance, such as Adolfo Aldana and Jesule, ex Malaguista and member of AFE (Association of Spanish Footballers).

The Coca-Cola Cup is celebrating its XIV anniversary – IV as Official Cadete Competition of the RFEF – and presented the grand final stage this afternoon at La Rosaleda, taking place at the “Ciudad de Torremolinos” Sports and Recreation centre, from 10th to 12th June.  The Coca-Cola Cup, which kicked off in September 2015, has the following teams still in the competition: CD Bansander, Club Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla FC, Valencia CF, Gazte Berriat Antsoain and Athletic Club de Bilbao; plus the regional teams from Galicia, Balearic Islands, Andalucía, Comunidad Valenciana, Cataluña and Castilla-León.

The IV Women’s Coca-Cola Cup is also taking place, comparable to the Regional under-16s’ Spanish Championships.  Qualifying teams are Madrid, Basque Country, Asturias and Cataluña.  The White Card is also present in the Coca-Cola Cup, recognised in the 2014 National Sports Awards with the Queen Sofía Award, acknowledging the main sports activities on and off the pitch.
