Presentation of agreement between Málaga CF and the British Chamber of Commerce

Málaga CF and the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain signed an agreement in La Rosaleda’s press room today, making the Blue and Whites’ entity the first Spanish club to join the British Chamber of Commerce.

Present at the agreement signing in front of the media were Málaga CF director general, Vicente Casado, accompanied by José María Arrabal, head of business development at the Club; Derek Langley, vice president of the British Chamber in Andalucía; Alex Radford, Board member of the British Chamber in Andalucía; and Charmaine Arbouin, British consul in Andalucía and Canary Islands.

Casado comments: “The Costa del Sol is very important for the growth of Málaga.  We’re very united with the British colony and want to be more so.  It is another step towards a more international Málaga, which symbolises an open Club and city.”

Also, Langley adds: “We started in 1908 and our objective has always been to improve relations between Spain and the United Kingdom, and this is another symbol of further integration.  We are a recognised brand all over the world, much like Málaga CF.”

Following the eventVicente Casado attended to the assembled media:

“I would like to convey a great sense of calm to all the fans and the Club.  The most important factor is Saturday’s match, the Club is on top of everything and all decisions made will always be for the good of the Club.”

“We’re relaxed, and they are studying all the possibilities to ensure the welfare of the Club.  We must focus on the upcoming match against Espanyol.  There is a great deal of experience within the Club, if we didn’t like these situations then we wouldn’t work in football.  They can happen at any club.”
