Portillo: “We have to work and work to continue learning”
The young midfielder, Francisco Portillo, this Wednesday morning spoke to the media in the Ciudad de Málaga stadium press room.
Portillo’s statements:
(Personal). “The week becomes long but we’ve got to be prepared for what’s coming. In the match in Córdoba I felt pretty comfortable, they’re opportunities that they give you and you’ve got to take advantage of them. I’m feeling good, full of energy and confidence; but I’ve not been able to enjoy many minutes because I’m young and I’m still learning many things. This is a great place to learn, next to the great players. I’m learning a lot and I’m very happy. It’s a thrill that the Andalusian clubs and those in the First Division are interested in me, but I’m a footballer from Málaga and I owe this club. Go on loan? If the possibility exists, we’ll study it.”
(Racing). “A complicated game against a team that’s not in a good position, but it won’t be easy either as no away games are. We always go out to win, and then it can end up being good or bad, but from the outset we go out to get the three points.”
(Few minutes). “It didn’t surprise us, we were prepared. We knew that the Club was coming with lots of great players. It’s good to have lots of internationals, the more there are the better it is.”
(Schedule):”We shouldn’t get too involved in this and just dedicate ourselves to what we have to do, which is play football and win games.”
(Changing room). “I’m in there and we all get on really well. We’re in a good position and if the league were to finish now, we are where we want to be.”
