Seba: “We’re in a position that we wanted but we always aspire to be higher”

The international Uruguay forward, Sebastián Fernández, was the Málaga player who spoke to the assembled media in the press room this Thursday morning.

Seba’s statements:

(Uruguay team). “They were two very different matches.  With Chile they were very important points, the team did well and at the end there was a comfortable result. In Italy it was an international friendly in their home ground, it was a beautiful game, we got an early goal and we were able to win.  To be in your national squad you feel amazing as a footballer.  The goal was important, I took a chance and I showed that I can play. I did it well and therefore I feel at ease. I’m feeling good, and the important thing is when it’s your turn to play you do it well.”

(At ease for achieve aims). “We’re in a position that we wanted, in international positions, and that’s great, it’s a place where we wanted to be.  We always aspire to be higher, and if you get there everyone loves it. Today, looking at it objectively, UEFA serves us well and it’s good to be where we are.  We have to play like we know how and be relaxed. We hope to be there throughout the championship.  Everyone’s on the same page and helping each other out.  The changing room is very relaxed.”

(Racing). “It’s a tough team that fights hard, it’s going to be really hard as all games are and nobody in this League gives you anything for free.”
