Penultimate training session of the week with 23 squad members at full-strength

Málaga Club de Fútbol trained this Saturday at 10.30 a.m at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. It was an exceptionally cold morning with few changes from yesterday’s training, and with 23 players at Pellegrini’s disposition.

The Malaguista team, as is customary, prioritised ball work, with Atlético Malagueño goalkeeper Pol also joining the squad.  There were five first team players who were not with the group.  They were Rubén who’s suffering from flu; Rosario, who did specialist work; and Van Nistelrooy, Baptista and Joaquín who continued with their respective recovery programmes.  In the case of the Cádiz-born, ‘number 7’ he is now back out on the pitch with the ball and it’s hoped that he will be progressively reincorporated into group work during next week.

Tomorrow, Sunday, at 10.30 a.m, MCF will train in a closed session at the Ciudad de Málaga, ahead of the list of called-up players for Monday’s match against Granada being published.
