Málaga Club de Fútbol’s first team trained this morning, Friday 20th January, in their penultimate session before the forthcoming league clash against FC Barcelona at La Rosaleda.
The session, which took place in the Ciudad de Málaga stadium, put Manuel Pellegrini’s charges through their paces with physical exercises with and without ball, as well as defence-attack transitions.
The training’s big news was the presence of the Carlos Kameni, the latest Blue and Whites signing, who worked under the orders of the goalkeeping coach, Xabi Mancisidor, alongside Willy Caballero and the reserve, Pol. The Danish defender, Kris, rejoined the group this morning and Isco trained at a normal level once more with his teammates.
In terms of absences, there was Rubén and Julio Baptista, who were recovering from their respective injuries in the Ciudad de Málaga gym, whilst Helder Rosario and Joaquín came out on the pitch later to train with the physical recovery coach, Hugo Camarero. Apoño was also absent, with the permission of the Club.
Tomorrow, Saturday 21st January, the team return to La Rosaleda to train in a closed session, before the manager, Manuel Pellegrini, publishes the list of called-up players for the FC Barcelona match that takes place on Sunday 22nd at 6 p.m.
