Peñaranda: “I want to devote myself to Málaga and triumph”

The international striker affirms that when told about the option of coming to Málaga CF; “I didn’t think twice. It’s an historic Club and they’re having a good season. I’m thrilled to return to LaLiga”.

Latest Blue and Whites’ signing, Adalberto Peñaranda held a press conference at the ‘Juan Cortés’ press room at La Rosaleda stadium, along with Málaga CF’s sports director, Francesc Arnau, who analysed the arrival of the striker: “The idea is to complete his year and a half-long loan period. It’s important to have him here, competing in a League that favours his conditions. One of the key reasons why he’s here is because of Weligton’s gesture. I would like to thank him”.

Return to Spanish football

“I thank God for allowing me to do what I love the most. I’m thrilled to return to LaLiga. I’m going to do my best”.

The Málaga CF option

“I received several offers from LaLiga teams. I chose Málaga because they liked me for a few years and wanted to sign me. They removed the little thorn I had. I’m delighted to be part of Málaga. I will give the best of myself”.

Conversations with the Club

“When I was told about the option of coming to Málaga, I didn’t think twice. It’s an historic Club and they’re having a good season. I want to devote myself to Málaga and triumph”.

Position

“The decision of where I should play is down to the coach. If he sees fit to place me as a forward, then I’ll play as a forward. I will perform to the best of my ability”.

Four Venezuelans

“I feel very proud to represent my country. Including myself, there are four Venezuelans on the team. I’m very happy, not just because of my compatriots, but because of the other teammates I’ve been introduced to. There’s a great vibe in the dressing room. That’s the most important thing in a team”.

Possibility of continuing at the Club

“My intentions are to do my best for the remainder of the season, and if God wishes me to, to continue another season at Málaga”.

Weligton’s gesture

“I’m so grateful to Weligton for what he did. Not everyone would make such a gesture. I would like to wish him a speedy recovery, so he’s back on the pitch as soon as possible”.

Fitness

“If the match was taking place today, I would be fit to play. I was able to train with the team this morning.  I feel great.  I’m at the disposal of the coach”.
