Review

“Under all the circumstances, and taking into account Luis Muñoz’s injury, we played the match we played. The rival had a lot at stake and the match was so close. We went from 0-1 to 1-0 and any small detail could have tipped the balance. The team did a sterling job, they’re very proud. We’ve increased the distance, won three points plus the goal average against this rival”.

Strength of the team

The team competes well and knows what’s at stake. During tough times we brought Stefan out to send a message that we were going for victory. We hope to achieve the objective soon, get excited and value the work of these animals. In the circumstances the Club was in at the start of the season, it is to be praised. It’s just a shame that the fans can’t be at La Rosaleda. We’ve taken a very important step to achieve the objective”.

Permanence

“It’s about scoring points, focusing on the next match, with each one setting us an objective. We’re all playing for so much, we want to win games, increase the distance from the drop zone and move closer to the places at the top. Málaga’s history demands it, but the first thing is to certify the goal of being ambitious. There are nine finals remaining, the first against Albacete, which will also be a final for them”.

Lombán and Stefan

“I’m happy for the entire group. David has only been back in training for a week. Stefan has come here to help and he’s getting better all the time. The group must be congratulated, we’ve come back from the emotional blow of Almería”.
