Press conference
Pellicer: “This team has dedication and pride”

The Blue and White coach held a press conference at La Rosaleda in the run-up to #LeganésMálaga. “He was a player, sporting director…but I remember the man”, he said about Francesc Arnau, who recently passed away.

Focused on competing

“We are all people. Behind any professional, in any environment, there’s a person. It’s important to maintain an emotional balance in everything. Knowing how to separate the personal from the professional, although there are situations where this is impossible. We’re focused on competing, like on the last day and throughout the entire season. This team has a lot of dedication and pride”.

Effort and sacrifice

“Caye has only had one training session and is going to travel with us as a preventive measure. Luis Muñoz has trained for two days, and comes from a period of inactivity. Escassi, surprisingly, recovered yesterday and today was in training. His effort and commitment should be praised. We’ll see how we clarify the starting-11. Tomorrow we’ll see how they are. We’ve looked at the goalkeepers and the players, to see who’ll feature in these last two matches”.

Rest in peace, Arni

“We’ve been left in a state of shock. He was a player, coordinator, director of The Academy and sporting director, but I remember the man. Wherever he is, I thank him for everything he gave us. On a personal level, I remember everything I was able to experience with him. I offer my deepest condolences to all of his family, to everyone in the world of football and to those who knew him personally. There are very few words. Wherever he is, he will be an angel, especially for his children, Marc and Pol”.
