Pellicer: “These points are very important to us”

The Blue and White coach looks ahead to the match against Albacete BP in today’s remote press conference: “We’re facing a tremendously tough match tomorrow”.

Albacete, a rival who should have more points

“The rival’s points don’t reflect the competitive level they’re showing. They were beating Girona in minute 91 and within two minutes they lost the game. This generates emotional stress. They’ll propose a direct game, work to the max and focus on the second play. Like us, they’ll concentrate on very direct, intense football. They’ve improved the pressure upfront. Two seasons ago, like Málaga, this team, was in the play-offs with a number of those players still on the team”.

Tough match

“We want to continue the positive dynamic of intensity, aggressiveness and improvement in defence. We’re facing a tremendously tough match tomorrow, every ball will be disputed with a brutal level of intensity. We need to stay strong in midfield and have patience to be able to manage to context of the match”.

A group that misses the fans

“We’re going to try to win the three points that are very important to us in order to achieve the objective and fight for everything we can. I see the group full of hunger and enthusiasm. Hopefully the fans may be allowed to be with us for the final matches. 80% of these players haven’t experienced the feeling of the fans being in the stands, which is something that would give them a real boost. We must be aware and stay alert, we don’t know how the situation will go, every day things change, but it would be a great end to the season. We want the fans to see the players’ dedication for themselves”.
