Pellicer: “La Rosaleda makes us strong”

Málaga CF head coach Sergio Pellicer spoke to the media in a press conference on the eve of the #MálagaGranada clash. “We’re playing three of our final matches at home, and that’s where we need to assert our strength,” he said.

Granada CF

“Since Fran's arrival, they’ve secured four consecutive wins. Of the three relegated teams, they’re currently in the best form. They’re a solid, competitive side with sharp finishing. They’ve reconnected with their rhythm, using different setups, and have a different profile compared to Castellón, with very precise players up front. What happened the other day has to make us stronger, we're fully focused on this match, the most important one. We must be on high alert against a team fighting for everything, especially since their new coach took over.”

La Rosaleda factor

“Everything will be decided in these last five matches. Our strength is La Rosaleda. We’re playing three of these final games at home, and that’s where we need to assert out strength. We need to strengthen our bond with La Rosaleda, that team spirit and connection that has made us great.”

Demand

“We’ve worked calmly. It’s been a very calm week, but with the same level of demand. We’re on high alert, with maximum confidence, excitement, composure, and the aggressiveness the situation calls for. And above all, maximum competitive performance, which I believe we’ve shown.”

Collective

“We need to focus on delivering our best version. We're up against players with top-flight experience, while we’re the newcomers. But I focus on the team as a whole. In other squads, individual talent often stands out. What we showed the other day proves that when we push ourselves to the limit, we’re among the most competitive teams out there.”

Fans

“We must remember that our fanbases are like brothers, I want to thank them for the respect they showed us last year. But once the match begins, it’s all about competing. The supporters represent the true values of football, but we’re going in with everything we’ve got.”
