Team returns on good form. Luca and Manu back with the group
“The boys have done very well. You can really notice the players’ commitment. When you go on holiday you tend to be a little out of shape, yet it has been quite the opposite. Their weight and fat levels are good, and they have the same attitude with which they left. We have Luca back, who has made a great effort, and also Manu who today did his first full training session with us. You have to know how to differentiate recovery processes. We need them all, the key is to recover the maximum for this most important stretch of the season.”
Intercity, a very tough rival
“They are a team that has lost one more game than Castellón. I know them well, they have been making a strong investment for years. They have had some problems, but they are now resolved. They are showing that they want to be at the top, they have a great coach and a great squad. They are a team that competes very well. It's going to be a tremendously tough match. It will force us to play at our best. Whenever you come back from a break there is that uncertainty of knowing in what state you return, but I can see the team is on good form.”
A very hard 2023, but with a hopeful ending
“I think that the year should be divided into two halves. In the first one, many things happened, with a small flame of hope at the end, but it wasn’t achieved. In the second, taking into account the uncertainty that existed, we can see that we are competing. This has to be our scenario, that of the last match; in which we prevailed despite adversity. This is the way forward, from humility and with that collective feeling that you can achieve things. 2023 has been a lesson in humility, the road ahead is what we’ve shown in the last quarter of the year. We have a lot of people behind us and the best way to do things is by giving our soul.”
Wishes for 2024; that our effort is rewarded
“The first thing is good health. On a professional level; may we continue competing, giving our all and that this sacrifice being made is rewarded, thinking about the people behind us. I ask that we recover players, that we have a full squad and that we compete so that we can achieve the goal we all want. On a personal level, may we all be healthy and value everyday life.
