Statements

(Champions draw) "We’re in a good group, we’ve already achieved what we set out to do, and qualify for the Champions League.  With regards to the groups, they’re all fairly similar, but I don’t really want to dwell on that too much now, we need to focus on tomorrow’s match against Zaragoza.”
 
(New signings) "Both Iturra and Javier Saviola were in training today without any problems, and Roque Santa Cruz will join us tomorrow.  These three new players will support the team a great deal.”
 
(Change in team mentality) "I think we’ve done very well up to now in both competitions.  We went to Vigo with every intention of qualifying for Champions, and won.  The same happened in Mallorca before we went to Greece.  We played good football, and obviously made a few changes.  We’re very committed to both competitions, and are now up against a tough rival in Zaragoza, so I hope we can bring the three points home.”
 
(Real Zaragoza) "Manolo Jiménez has really put his stamp on the team, nobody could have expected what they did last year.  They’ve got a solid foundation which they’ll be working on this season, though they’ve had a few bad results at home, but more success in away games.  It’s going to be a tough 90 minutes for us.”
