Málaga CF coach, Manuel Pellegrini, held a press conference at La Rosaleda following the match against Real Zaragoza. Willy, Isco, Camacho and Baptista appeared in the mixed zone.

“I don’t think it was just me who was angry with the performance on the pitch today. When 20 players aren’t capable of more than two passes, there has to be something important that stops them putting on a good show. I think we’re most affected by the performance as it was at our home ground. Both teams were fighting for victory, and in the end it was a fair result. Neither side created impressive game play or opportunities to score throughout the match.”
“It’s always important to earn points, and it’s better than losing a match. Before kick off we weren’t even contemplating a draw, but looking back on the performance, I don’t think we lost two points, we just gained one. Let’s hope we can get another three against Levante.”
“We had nothing planned, Julio Baptista got very involved in the match when he went out on the pitch. We’d have liked to have seen Lucas Piazon, but our plans changed following Eliseu and Joaquín getting injured. It was good for Julio Baptista to get some time on the pitch today.”
