Pellegrini: “I hope this is the start of a positive stretch”

Málaga CF’s Chilean-born manager, Manuel Pellegrini, spoke to sports journalists in La Rosaleda’s press room after the league clash against Sevilla FC.

Pellegrini’s statements:
“They’re three points that have been hard to come by, we were in a patch in which we weren't getting the results.  There’s nothing better than getting a result against a main rival and we’re dedicating it to the fans and to José Carlos Pérez.”

“We’re going to try and continue doing what we came here doing with lots of conviction and I hope this is the start of a positive stretch. For us it was a very important triumph at home.”

“With the 1-1, we had our best moments, the team didn’t decline and then we were able to maintain the level even after Isco was sent off.”

“They’re two important players- Isco and Sánchez – who, due to sanctions, will be out for the Granada match, but we have a broad squad to cover this and we’ve never complained.  The important thing is that the group is maintained.”
