Following Roberto’s rapid equaliser, Paulino sealed the comeback with his goal in minute 29 of the first half. The Malaguista number ‘7’ commented: “We started off on the back foot after conceding from a set piece, yet the team responded in an incredible way.”
La Rosaleda remains a fortress and Paulino is grateful to the Malaguistas for their support: “The fans are amazing, for us they’re like having another player on the pitch. Hopefully more and more will come to the stadium as they’re so important to us.”
In regard to the midweek fixture, Paulino said “now it’s time to rest” as “we have so many games in so few days. We have to think about Sunday now and work as hard as possible. We want to go to Cartagena to win and play a good game,” he affirmed.
