Pablo: “It’s been a very enriching experience”

In an interview with SeFútbol, the young Málaga CF player talks about his feelings since being called-up to join Spain’s first team.

Experience

“It’s been great, very enriching, with amazing players and wonderful people.  From the first moment I arrived I felt very welcome in the group, and I’m trying my best to do all I can to help the team.”

Difference between the Club and the national team

“At the end of the day it’s the same, only they have less time to prepare well for the Euro competition, and they could have the most efficacy within the championship.”

Del Bosque

“From a sporting aspect, we’ve not spoken.  He’s asked me about my situation, where I’m from…”

Training with champions

“It’s amazing.  Apart from being fantastic players, they welcome you as another member of the team, and try to help you, which is great.”

Tips from the veterans

“Of course, everyone comes from a different situation, but they all help you, as everyone has been in the same position.  Indeed, they try to make everything as easy as possible, which helps you to adapt quickly.”

Hugo Camarero

“I’ve spoken a great deal to Hugo.  I’ve been very good friends with him since I joined Málaga’s first team.  He told me, and put the idea in my head, that one day I might have the chance to come here, so that it didn’t come out of the blue.”

Possible debut

“The icing on the cake is just taking part in training here with the team.  If I was given the opportunity to play it’d be incredible, but for now I’m thrilled with what I’m doing.”
