New year, same goals for the Juvenil ‘A’

Nacho Pérez Santamaría’s team now knows the match calendar for Group IV of División de Honor Juvenil, with the lads competing in Subgroup A of the competition.

The match calendar was announced last week for the seven groups in the juvenil category of División de Honor, which will be divided into subgroups. At the end of October, the first phase of the 20/21 campaign will get underway, coming to an end in March 2021.

Málaga CF’s rivals (Subgroup A – Group IV) are the following 10 teams: UD Almería, UD Maracena, CD Santa Fe, Rusadir CF, 26 de Febrero CD, CD Tiro Pichón, Granada CF, CD San Félix, CD UD Dos Hermanas and Vázquez Cultural CD.

In the first of the 22 league matchdays (each weekend one team will have a break from competition), Nacho and Juanma’s team are away to Dos Hermanas San Andrés. The end of the regular competition, also away from home, will feature the always special duel against CD San Félix.

Statements by Nacho

“This is a year of great uncertainty due to COVID. Also because of the match calendar and preseason, which is highly unusual. Many factors, unknown up to now, are coming together that disrupt our routine. We don’t know how all of this will pan out. We’ll adapt as we go in the best way we can, creating new situations to help the boys compete in the best possible way.

“The objective is for the majority of the Juvenil ‘A’ to be with Malagueño next year. That’s the idea and we’re going to work hard to repeat that this season”.
