N’Diaye: “It’s a derby and we have to win”

The Blue and White midfielder held a press conference after participating with the Malaguista delegation in the ‘Gran Feria Sabor a Málaga’. “Five points is nothing, by working hard and improving we can get out of this situation,” he said.

Alfred N'Diaye, Málaga CF midfielder, spoke to the media after participating in the Gran Feria Sabor a Málaga at the Eduardo Ocón Music Venue on Paseo del Parque.

The player is very grateful for the Malaguista fans’ support during these delicate moments: “The people are with us and that surprises me in a good way. We are almost at the bottom of the table, yet I come here and receive the love of the people, and that will help us.”

“We are all on the same side, the sponsor, the fans and the Club. We have to work hard to get out of this situation and save ourselves,” he added.

In regard to the current situation, he’s hopeful of turning the it around as “five points is nothing. It’s a derby and we have to win, it’s a very important game for us. By working hard and improving we can get out of this situation,” he stated.

“The team is more confident, and we know what and for whom we are playing. The whole group is united, and we know how important it is to save Málaga. This is a team that should be in the First Division, we’re now in the Second Division, but never in the Primera RFEF. If we continue like this, we’ll be on the right track to get out of this position,” he said.

N’Diaye, who has been out of the group due to injury, acknowledges that he is “better” and “physically fine. I try to work hard to give my best version and help the team,” he continued.

The number ‘18’ had a few good words for his teammate Rubén Castro: “He’s going to score, I know him and I’m certain of it. When he does, he’s going to score 10 or 15 goals until the end of the season, because he is a great, experienced striker.”

Lastly, he focuses on the upcoming rival, Granada CF visiting La Rosaleda on Thursday at 21:00: “They’re a very good team and will be fighting for promotion to LaLiga. It is a special match, you have to go all out to win. We’re at our ground with our fans. It's a derby and we have to win. We’re at home, it’s important to play well and keep the points here.”
