The coach, who knows the Club well, will continue in her role as coordinator of Málaga CF’s Women’s School.

Natalia Gutiérrez Garrido (Málaga, 22/03/1982), ‘Nati’ will take on the role of assistant coach to Málaga CF Femenino for the 2019/20 season. The Malagueña, who knows this house very well and has extensive experience within Málaga CF, has been chosen to accompany José Herrera, the new coach of the Blue and White team.

Gutiérrez, a former player with tri-champions, Atlético Málaga, has ample experience in women’s football, particularly the Malagueña youth ranks. The coach will carry on in her role as coordinator of the women’s section of the MCF School, which currently has five women’s teams.

As assistant coach to Málaga CF’s women’s team, Nati’s aim is to instil Blue and White values in a new project bursting with enthusiasm, accompanying Herrera and Málaga Femenino on their journey through the silver division.

Since beginning her coaching training, her objective has always been to help Málaga CF grow in the field of women’s football.

Professional career

Gutiérrez is the first Malagueña to obtain the national UEFA-PRO title, the highest level of coaching accreditation, permitting coaching in all categories.

Last season she coached the female cadete squad, managing to keep the team in 14th place with 12 points and 31 goals scored. Her good work heading up the team led to a number of players being called-up to the youth ranks of the Spain national football team.

In the 2017-18 campaign, as well as heading up the cadets, she took part in various conferences such as the I National Congress of Coaches and Physical Trainers and the World Congress of Football Coaches held in Sevilla.
