Museum &Tour MCF, full of fans for World Tourism Day
For World Tourism Day, Museum&Tour MCF collaborated with Málaga City Hall and, on Monday afternoon, opened its doors to more than 200 fans free of charge. MCF TV accompanied one of the eight groups that participated.
Made up of 30 fans, the group we accompanied during the Museum&Tour MCF experience began its journey through La Rosaleda’s facilities by visiting the VIP Box situated in the Tribuna stand, before moving on to the most exclusive part of the Martiricos campus: the Presidential Box, where they took in views of the stands and the pitch.
The next stop was the Press Room, which has undergone an extensive refurbishment since Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani’s arrival as the Club’s new owner. It’s now one of the most recognisable parts of La Rosaleda, thanks to the huge amount of local, national and international media coverage that Manuel Pellegrini’s squad generates.
One of the most sensational parts of the experience for the fans was the section which included the corridors and tunnels that take the players from the changing rooms to pitch next to the benches before each home game. It’s a place where it’s not difficult to imagine what the players feel every time they go out on to La Rosaleda’s hallowed pitch to play a match.
At the end of the Museum&Tour MCF experience, the fans headed to Málaga Club de Fútbol’s museum itself, where Málaga football past and present is alive and well thanks to the displays of various players’ artefacts collected over the decades, as well as numerous trophies, including the Intertoto Cup that Málaga club de Fútbol won in 2002.
