The Málaga CF coach highlights the sacrifice of his players on the pitch. “It was a competitive game, with great pace and intensity”, he said.

“Draws can leave you with a different taste in your mouth. I believe we played a competitive game, with great pace, intensity and good gameplay. Against a rival with very good individualities, you know they can surprise you from any individual action. It was a good match of this category. We played well, we gave our all on the pitch; we could have taken the lead on the scoreboard. The match became complicated for the referee because it was so intense. Those of us who are outside need to remain calm and normalise the situation as that is what will most favour the football and the category”.

Difficulty

“I saw a good team on the pitch, a team that continues to score points and remains in the top part of the table. Each time we’ll see more difficulty. Every team is playing for something and knows what they need to do. We have to focus on the fact that we played a very hard game, we made things very tough for the rival; we played a match we could have won. I’ve seen some positive things and there are many matches still remaining”.

Iván Alejo

“He’s a footballer who has made clear what he’s going to bring to the team over the season; speed, hard work and the ability to outwit rivals. He has many things that can help the team, he can help us get closer to creating dangerous situations. The good thing is that there’s competition, you need to work every day to play. This degree of competition will make the team better”.

Fans

“The team performs much better with the fans, with a favourable atmosphere, rather than a tense one. We’re going to compete like we did today in every game. The players will give everything they have on the pitch, the fans should be proud of their team. As we said on Friday, the more united we are, the stronger we are. We have to keep making the ground difficult for the rivals”.
