Muñiz: “The best gift will be to leave satisfied with the match”
The Malaguista coach attended to the media in a press conference the day before #OsasunaMálaga, which coincides with his birthday: “The label of favourite is deceptive”.
CA Osasuna, a tough rival
“A difficult match at a tough ground against a team that works very well. They have good rhythm and pace, I believe they’re a very complete team and there’s no doubt they’ll be fighting for the top spots in the standings”.
Equality in the category
“You have a winning streak because you’ve done a good job. The players have sacrificed, we’ve showed good gameplay. We’ve played 11 games and I believe we’ve seen some very good matches, both home and away. It’s important to always keep in mind that the matches are very close with some very tight results. In every game the two teams have options to win, it’s not easy at home and it’s not easy away. You always have to give a lot of credit to everything you achieve. The label of favourite is deceptive at times. Often, it’s in the rival’s interest to play against the favourite. We must always focus on ourselves, doing our job, performing well, knowing what we have to do and having clear ideas. I never see any favourites in the Second Division. If that’s the case, we need to do that bit extra. Extra because we have to match the rival in intensity, gameplay, attack and defence, and all that whilst competing against a good team means you have to play at a high level in order to win”.
A birthday wish
“The best gifts are when you leave satisfied with the match. Leaving happy means you’ve scored points. It’s not about making a wish, it’s about getting back to doing our job. The best gifts are to be healthy, happy and enjoy next year as much as this one. If I had to ask for something, it’s always the same thing; health and that we can see each other in another month, two and 50 years from now”.
