Muñiz: “It was important to continue in winning dynamics”

The Malaguista manager spoke to the media after the victory against Nàstic: “When you win it is because the team has made a great effort.”

Less common protagonists

“They’re players who are training very well and every player who works at that level can participate at any time. I think it’s good for the team, for the group, and we need everyone to achieve their objectives. It’s for this that we’re able to continue to maintain the level that we’re demonstrating at this moment day by day. The manager’s very satisfied with everyone’s daily work and it’s difficult to call, because there are people who were left out who could be a perfect starter.”

Winning dynamics

“These three points make the draw the other day good. It was important to win, to continue in a winning dynamic at home. The points must be obtained, no matter where. Be it at home or away because at the end of the season no one will evaluate you differently if the points you’ve achieved have been at home or away. We have to try to add away points though too, we shouldn’t have differences between either one. It is important to be strong at home and it’s also important to win away; therefore, we do not differentiate when we play in one place or another, we simply have strong opponents in front, who will be in the top of the table without a doubt and, above all, what’s being demonstrated is the equality that exists in the category. The most important thing is that we know how to see it, we know how to have that peace of mind, and we know that when you win, it is because the team has done a great job and has made a great effort, as such, it’s not very difficult to win, whoever the rival may be.”

Condition of the pitch

“The pitch was very good.  It was taken up after the last home match - and we must bear in mind that not even twenty days have passed since then. The pitch was perfect to play on; it was fast, and it was fine to circulate the ball without any problem. The work the gardeners have done has been spectacular. They have done everything possible. We have to thank them because I know the effort and the hours they put in so that the pitch could be in order to play a decent match on and, above all, that the ball circulates well. It was a game that was going to require us to circulate the ball. We needed the pitch to be fast and I thank them for all the work they have done.”
