Munir plays and wins in Tunisia with Morocco

The Blue and White goalkeeper was in action with the North African side, against Tunisia, in an international friendly which Morocco won by 0-1.

Another international friendly for Munir Mohand during his already vast career with the Morocco national team. Wearing the number ‘12’ shirt, he was in the starting line-up and played for 90 minutes, keeping a clean sheet in Tunisia – Morocco held in Rades. Secure, solid and not too demanding, Munir contributed to the narrow win secured by a goal from the former Blue and White player En-Nesyri in the first half (0-1, 41’).

The Melilla-born goalkeeper was on the bench last Friday against Cameroon (2-0 win for Morocco), in the penultimate Group B qualifier for the 2019 Africa Cup. With one match remaining, Morocco lead the group and have a guaranteed pass to the most important competition on the African continent, the Africa Cup of Nations.
