Wearing the number ‘12’ shirt, he was in the starting line-up and played for 90 minutes, keeping a clean sheet in Tunisia – Morocco held in Rades. Secure, solid and not too demanding, Munir contributed to the narrow win secured by a goal from the former Blue and White player En-Nesyri in the first half (0-1, 41’).
The Melilla-born goalkeeper was on the bench last Friday against Cameroon (2-0 win for Morocco), in the penultimate Group B qualifier for the 2019 Africa Cup. With one match remaining, Morocco lead the group and have a guaranteed pass to the most important competition on the African continent, the Africa Cup of Nations.
