Renewal
“Personally, I feel great, and I can say the same about the team. I feel very comfortable and very happy about how things are going. It was straightforward because I knew I wanted to remain here, I feel very comfortable and the Club made it easy as there was a quick understanding. On a personal note, I wasn’t worried about the renewal, but it’s an important step for me and now it’s clear we must focus on the team’s objective. Everything has changed so much in the Club, and it’s important to remember the path I’m on”.
A rounded year
“It’s much more difficult but I’ve always been prepared for this moment. Since I joined the team, I’ve tried to do my best. I knew it had to be my year and it is. I have been at the doors of the first team several times. I’m better prepared than I have been previously, and it’s obvious that this has been the definitive time. The injury process made me mature and change as a player”.

“We know that at their ground they’re a great team. We’re not focusing on one player in particular. We need to continue doing our work and the results will follow. At home we’re doing pretty well and away from home, although we’re playing good games, due to the small details… However, that’s what we’re working on, and it would be great for us to score all three points as we’ve got a tough rival coming up. If we do well away, we could play a better match against Granada”.
Message for young players in The MCF Academy
“I would tell them to keep working hard, staying on the right track. It’s not easy, not all players make it, but Málaga is a good place to get to the top as they focus a lot on the youth ranks. We are one of the youngest teams in the Second Division and I believe it’s a wonderful mirror for those who come up from the youth ranks”.
