Munir: “I’m convinced the victories will come”

The Malaguista goalkeeper appeared in the mixed zone at Los Pajaritos following the draw against CD Numancia: “We need to remain with the reaction shown in the second half which I believe was very good. If we follow this line, we’ll win a lot of matches”.

Ambition

“We came to Soria determined to claim the three points. It wasn’t to be, we need to carry on. We reacted and went from strength to strength. We were close to winning the three points, so we need to focus on the things we didn’t do well and try to correct them for the next match to score the three points”.

Great second half

“We lacked a bit of luck and forcefulness upfront to score goals. I think we were very close. We need to remain with the team’s reaction, following a struggle in the second half and not feeling at ease on the pitch. We need to remain with the reaction shown in the second half which I believe was very good. If we follow this line, we’ll win a lot of matches”.

Line to follow, marked out

“The most positive part of the first half was the result. The team knew how to suffer at this point and we were strong in defence. It took us a while to feel comfortable as they are also a great team, which is why they’re up at the top and compete well. We need to focus on the team’s reaction in the second half, which is the line to follow”.

Work, that’s all there is to it

“When you train during the week, you see the team makes a big effort and then we don’t reap the reward we believe we deserve. Of course, we’re disappointed, but these things happen in football. We need to move on, there’s no other way to earn the three points than to keep competing in the same way and working hard. I’m convinced the victories will come. We all believe we deserve far more as we give our all on the pitch. We’re certain we’ll go back to winning ways”.

Best fans in the world

“Sincerely speaking, I believe our fans don’t need a message. They are showing they are 10 out of 10, they support us to the maximum. We have one of the best fan bases in the world, as I’ve said numerous times. In the situation we’re in, how they support us is admirable. I don’t know how we can give this affection back, but trying to do so on the pitch is the best way. There’s been a lot of talk, but we need to show it on the pitch. We’re working on that and hopefully we’ll get the three points we deserve next time”.
