Munir and N’Diaye win without debuting in the CAN

Morocco and Senegal both won their games on Sunday in the Africa Cup of Nations 2019. Neither Munir nor N’Diaye enjoyed minutes in their national teams’ debut matches.

Morocco got off to a good start in Group D of the African tournament, clinching a hard-fought victory against Namibia (1-0) with an own goal by the rival in 89’. Munir didn’t play, remaining on the bench as a substitute to starting goalkeeper, Bounou. Morocco’s next match, against Ivory Coast, is taking place on Friday 28th June at 19.00.

Alfred N’Diaye had the same luck with Senegal. They defeated Tanzania by 2-0 (goals from Keita Baldé and Diatta) in Group C of the CAN, taking place in Egypt, with the midfielder on the bench for the entire match. Senegal’s next game is on Thursday 27th June at 19:00 against Algeria, who also won their debut match (2-0 against Kenya).
