Miguel Torres recovers with a 3D splint

The Club’s medical services have introduced a new treatment for the Málaga CF defender, designed by Fiixit, to aid the player’s recovery from his ankle injury.

Miguel Torres swaps his plaster cast for the latest in immobilisation. The Blue and Whites’ player will recover from the injury to his left ankle with a 3D-printed immobilisation splint.

The treatment, used by first team traumatologist, Vicente de la Varga, and the Club’s Head of Medical Services, Juan Carlos Pérez Frías, consists of scanning the affected area to make a personalised mould for the individual and their condition.

Málaga-based company, Fiixit have been in charge of developing the 3D splint for Miguel Torres’ recovery.
