First time at Wanda Metropolitano doesn’t phase Atleti
“Atlético de Madrid isn’t, I believe, a team that goes in for parties. Even though they’re premiering their new stadium and it’s an historic day for Atlético de Madroid, it’s a Laliga game and we all know Atlético’s strengths, one of which is that they never lose concentration. This is also a spur for us, knowing that a team is not there just paying homage or there to party, therefore we’re going all out from the first moment.”
Atleti
“I don’t reckon that Atleti is a team that changes its face often, including in different situations on the pitch and we’re not expecting a different Atleti from other years, an Atleti which has been successful. But also the results are different and in this season also. We know this is a difficult match but then everyone in the First Division knows this will be the case and Atletic isn’t a team that has two faces.”
Looking forward
“There have been matches in which the results could’ve been different, but we can’t look back, rather look for the impetus and solutions. I don’t want to play with anyone who doesn’t want to win and therefore we’re going all out tomorrow.”
Rolón and Rolan’s debut
“Rolón already knows our work, he’s better physically and he knows all about our game plan. Rolán now has several sessions under his belt with us since the stoppage and he is feeling much better. In addition, it’s an alternative in attack, because he’s a player that offers something different than Borja as a forward, but also complimentary. Osea that both participate in these two matches.”
Miguel Torres
“Miguel, in these last two matches has worked alongside us. I’m not going to say that he’s at full power, because he’s spent two months out, but he’s one of the captains and he wanted to be there. As I said, in the last two last training session, he’s been back training with the rest of the guys. It’s quite difficult that he’s taking part in some matches but it also is good for us. Apart form these two matches, we have the match against Atheltic.
Camp in Madrid
“When the schedule came out, we knew that we were going to get here very late. It’s going to suit us, in fact, the players wanted that those who are injured because it’s another way of being together.”
