Míchel: “The first half was excellent”

The Málaga CF coach highlights the “wonderful execution” in the first half. “My players went out to compete. This is the line we want to take”, he affirms.

Great match

“This is the team we were looking for, but we mustn’t be presumptuous either. I repeat myself a lot. The players know what they have to do and how to do it. When they step on to the pitch, you can see it. The first half was excellent, much more than the planning, the execution was wonderful, particularly the team’s intention. My players went out to compete. Normally, the team that competes, wins, and if not, you can’t take anything for granted. This is the line we want to take”.

Satisfied

“Defeating Valencia 2-0, maintaining a clean sheet, and showing a sense of stability, are all very gratifying for a coach. Winning 2-0 against a team like Valencia, who in recent games haven’t been winning easily, nor FC Barcelona, is extremely satisfying”.

Rosales

“He’s suffering with groin discomfort. He’s been fatigued for a few weeks now. He’s a player who is making an immense effort. With Miguel Torres’ injury, we haven’t got anyone in that position. There are only 72 hours until the next match, so we must find a solution to allow time for rest. He’s already given a lot, and we don’t want to lose anybody”.

Fans

“I don’t like it when my players are whistled it, but I’m also not much of a fan of the ‘ole’s’ either. I think we have a middle ground. The fans have suffered such a lot this year, it’s been a bittersweet season, so they were keen to show their happiness”.
