MCFTV revives the 'Spirit of Anoeta'

One goal, one mission, one plot, one team. Málaga Club de Fútbol’s official television channel wants to revive the ‘Spirit of Anoeta’ on their return to San Sebastián for the forthcoming match.

Last March, Málaga CF had to bring unity and feeling to mark a turning point in their destiny. After losing to Real Madrid and Osasuna, the Blue and Whites were visiting Real Sociedad as an inferior club, meaning the clash at Anoeta was crucial as it was the start of the battle to stay in First Division. Manager Manuel Pellegrini called-up all players on the roster for the match in an expedition led by Abdullah Ghubn to straighten out this delicate situation.

The victory against Real Sociedad 0-2 with goals from Duda and Rondon, marked a ‘before and after moment’ for Málaga, which boosted morale during a tough season in which everyone was more united than ever in search of one common goal: salvation.
