MCFF, the shield above all else

Málaga CF Femenino kicks off the 21/22 season this week with their first match in the Primera Nacional competition away to CD Salamanca.

The Blue and White squad, with Ayala at the helm of the coaching team, was in training this Monday at La Rosaleda to begin preparations for the first match of the season. They were then welcomed in the Club’s ‘Juan Cortés’ press room by judicial administrator, José María Muñoz and Sporting Director, Manolo Gaspar, as well as ambassador of the women’s team, Manolo Hernández Navarrete.

Gaspar referred to Navarrete as “someone to lean on” during this new stage, while Muñoz spoke to the girls about “conveying the enthusiasm on the pitch, with the shield above all else”, using Escassi as an example who scored MCF's winning goal last Friday against Alcorcón.

New coach, Ayala added: “I thank for the Club for the effort and commitment to women’s football” with two clear focuses “responsibility and humility”. Team captain Ruth then expressed the team’s desire to “win on Sunday in Salamanca”, as she herself said to her teammates, to get the new season off to a good start in Primera Nacional Femenina.

Lots of luck on this new adventure girls!
