It was a weekend of victories for the División de Honor, Liga Nacional and Cadete Autonómico teams. Atlético Malagueño drew today in El Palo and Atlético Málaga defeated Sporting de Huelva yesterday.

Atlético Malagueño earned a point from the always difficult ground of San Ignacio, against a tough El Palo rival, who knew how to manage the usual attacking display of Manel Ruano’s boys.  The reserve team didn’t cause too much concern in the rival goal area or for former Malaguista keeper, Fran.  In stoppage time, a great save by Aarón maintained a draw for the Blue and Whites.  After 27 games, Malagueño are in second place in the table, one point away from leaders, Mancha Real.

Atlético Málaga secured a very hard-fought win against Sporting de Huelva, keeping them in fourth place in the table.  A goal in the 58th minute by Anita gave Manolo Hernández Navarrete’s girls three important points.  Despite not playing their best football during part of the match due to the strong wind, they were practical and effective against a direct league rival.
