MCF Foundation attends the XV Meeting of Foundations
The Club, through its Foundation, attended the meeting organised by FUNDACIÓN LaLiga to celebrate its 30th anniversary of commitment to society.
The Málaga CF Foundation, represented by its coordinator Lucas Rodríguez, participated in an event that included the foundations of Spanish professional football, marking the celebration of three decades of the FUNDACIÓN LaLiga, collaborating with sports entities at the service of our society. It was established in 1993 as a private, non-profit cultural entity, a pioneer in the field of football and with a clear philanthropic spirit.
The event was attended by LaLiga president, Javier Tebas, and Clemente Villaverde, president of FUNDACIÓN LaLiga, who was a CD Málaga player at the end of the 1980s. “We’re celebrating the 30th anniversary advocating the work and commitment of our entity. With the work of our foundation, we are contributing to equal opportunities, social inclusion and diversity,” said Tebas. Clemente, meanwhile, congratulated the Foundation for “continuing to look to the future with enthusiasm and with the conviction that together we will continue to travel this exciting path to build a fairer, more inclusive and equal society.”
The XV Meeting of Professional Football Club Foundations allowed the foundations to address issues such as the incorporation of SDGs (sustainable development goals) into the organisation, sustainability within the football industry, the management and communication of social responsibility and sustainable development by the foundations and sports entities, amongst other issues.
