MCF Foundation and Fundación Victoria, together on a special day
Today marks World Down Syndrome Day, and to commemorate such a special occasion, the MCF Foundation and Fundación Victoria shared a genuinely unforgettable day.
This Tuesday 21st March is a day marked on the calendar for the members of Málaga Club de Fútbol Foundation’s Supercapacitad@s School.
Last Friday, a wide representation of our Genuine players visited Colegio Diocesano Cardenal Herrera Oria to play a match against the Down Trops Málaga Fundación Victoria, a team jointly organised by the Escuela Deportiva Fundación Victoria and Club Balonmano Ciudad de Málaga ‘Trops Málaga’.
During this match, the players enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of handball and futsal, with Fair Play and fun taking precedence.
Málaga CF, via the MCF Foundation, continues its work of inclusion and visibility for people with special abilities and functional diversity, creating spaces that allow their social development.
Currently, Málaga CF and the MCF Foundation have the second highest number of players in Spain on the team in LaLiga Genuine Santander, totalling 82. In addition, the Club is a benchmark in normalising those with special abilities and functional diversity, as the Supercapacitad@s School is part of the structure of the Blue and White entity.
Oh! Don't forget to wear mismatched socks today, a nod to people with Down Syndrome that gives visibility, in a fun and colourful way, to wonderfully genuine human beings.
